WTF is Going On With Lorde’s Eye?

Poor Lorde — there’s something seriously wrong with her eye! She keeps posting pictures of her red and swollen eye (eew) with cryptic messages on Instagram…but she won’t tell us WHY her eye looks like this:

So, from the caption it sounds like Lorde has been getting asked this question a lot — especially since she’s been in New York City to attend Fashion Week. Bad timing, huh?

In another pic Lorde posted to  Instagram, she very cryptically explained a little more, saying, “The skin is peeling off my lips and hands these days I very rarely see the sun and my eye is weeping and screaming and it’s fashion week and everyone already thinks I”m strange and it’s a Kanye show where the freaks are beautiful so why not say fuck it and let’s dance with the melodrama?”

I mean, does she have pink eye? She also said in that caption, “ps. the show was crazy i got to wear sneakers and had the best bear hug from drizzy and now i’m in bed in a sweater editing something cool for you guys to see very soon.”
Well whatever is going on with Lorde’s eye, she’s still fierce and I do hope she gets it cleared up soon. Maybe see a doctor? But back to what she’s “editing.” New music? Yes please!
